Phenomenon

In epistemology, a phenomenon (also called phenomenon, plural phenomena or phenomena in educational terms; from ancient Greek φαινόμενον fainómenon, German 'ein sich Zeigendes, ein Erscheinendes') is a unit of experience that can be perceived with the senses and delimited, for example an event, an object or a natural phenomenon. Deviating from this, sometimes it is not the perceived but a perception itself that is called a phenomenon. The corresponding German word is Erscheinung.

Night Shots

I always enjoy discovering things at night, there is less distraction, and light(mostly artificial) is more pronounced.

Ich erkunde die Dinge immer gerne bei Nacht, es gibt weniger Ablenkung und das (meist künstliche) Licht ist intensiver.

Reflexions(german) is the same as Reflections(english). So I use the german one, because it contains the philosophical reflexion.

Reflexionen(deutsch) ist gleichbedeutend mit Reflexionen(englisch). Ich benutze also das deutsche, weil es die philosophische Reflexion enthält.

Portrait

A portrait is a painting, photograph, sculpture, or other artistic representation of a person, in which the face and its expression is predominant. The intent is to display the likeness, personality, and even the mood of the person. For this reason, in photography a portrait is generally not a snapshot, but a composed image of a person in a still position. A portrait often shows a person looking directly at the painter or photographer, in order to most successfully engage the subject with the viewer.

Shadows

A shadow is a dark (real image) area where light from a light source is blocked by an opaque object. It occupies all of the three-dimensional volume behind an object with light in front of it. The cross section of a shadow is a two-dimensional silhouette, or a reverse projection of the object blocking the light.
